Tanker during the period of the G7+ oil embargo and the price cap policy has been actively involved in the export of russian Urals crude oil and petroleum products from the russian ports of Ust-Luga, Primorsk, and St. Petersburg on the Baltic Sea, and the port of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea, to India, China, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Turkey—specifically on behalf of russia’s largest oil and gas companies: PJSC Oil Company "Rosneft", PJSC "Tatneft", PJSC "Surgutneftegaz", PJSC "Novatek".
Specifically, in December 2025, a tanker exported more than 628,000 barrels of Urals crude oil from the "Sheshkharis" terminal at the port of Novorossiysk to India; the seller of the russian liquid cargo — Redwood Global Supply FZ-LLC (UAE), which was sanctioned by the United Kingdom on December 18, 2025, for its activities in the russian energy sector. Redwood Global Supply FZ-LLC is the largest exporter of russian crude oil within the shadow network of russian oil traders—the "2Rivers Group" (Coral Energy). Key roles in this network are played by several azerbaijani traders: Tahir Garayev, Etibar Eyyub, Talat Safarov, and Ahmed Kerimov.
In September 2025, the vessel exported over 595,000 barrels of petroleum products from the port of Ust-Luga to China; the seller of the russian liquid cargo was PJSC "Surgutneftegaz".
In April 2025, the tanker exported over 362,000 barrels of petroleum products from the port of Ust-Luga to China on behalf of PJSC "Novatek".
In January 2025, the tanker exported 730,000 barrels of Urals crude oil from the port of Primorsk to India on behalf of PJSC Oil Company "Rosneft".
In February 2024, the vessel exported 730,000 barrels of Urals crude oil from the port of Ust-Luga to Turkey; the seller of the cargo was PJSC "Tatneft".
The tanker belongs to the fleet of Star Marine Management Inc., an international shipping company incorporated in Liberia with its headquarters in Greece.
The vessel is involved in the oil sector of the russian federation’s economy, the profits derived from which are one of the most important sources of revenue for the aggressor state’s budget.
On February 12, 2026, Ukraine imposed sanctions on the tanker as part of restrictions targeting the russian shadow fleet.
