Tanker during the period of the G7+ oil embargo and the price cap policy on russian crude oil and petroleum products, is involved in the export of russian Urals and Siberian Light crude oil, as well as russian petroleum products, from the ports of Vysotsk, Saint Petersburg, Primorsk, Ust-Luga on the Baltic Sea, and Novorossiysk on the Black Sea to third countries on behalf of russia’s largest oil companies—PJSC Lukoil and PJSC Oil Company Rosneft.
Specifically, in February 2026, a tanker exported more than 698,000 barrels of Urals crude from the port of Ust-Luga to Egypt; the seller of the russian crude cargo — Redwood Global Supply FZ-LLC (UAE), which was sanctioned by the United Kingdom on December 18, 2025, for its activities in the russian energy sector. Redwood Global Supply FZ-LLC is the largest exporter of russian crude oil within the shadow network of russian oil traders—the "2Rivers Group" (Coral Energy). Key roles in this network are played by several azerbaijani traders: Tahir Garayev, Etibar Eyyub, Talat Safarov, and Ahmed Kerimov.
In December 2025, the vessel exported more than 628,000 barrels of Siberian Light crude oil from the Sheskharis terminal at the port of Novorossiysk to India; the seller of the cargo was PJSC Lukoil (under sanctions imposed by the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and Ukraine).
In September 2025, the tanker exported 529,000 barrels of petroleum products from the port of Vysotsk to Saudi Arabia; the seller of the liquid cargo was PJSC Lukoil.
In May 2025, the vessel exported more than 330,000 barrels of petroleum products from the port of St. Petersburg to an area near the port of Dakar (Senegal) for STS transshipment; the seller of the liquid cargo was PJSC "Lukoil". In September 2023, the tanker exported over 698,000 barrels of Urals crude oil from the port of Ust-Luga to India on behalf of PJSC Oil Company "Rosneft".
The tanker belongs to the fleet of Star Marine Management Inc., an international shipping company incorporated in Liberia with its headquarters in Greece.
The vessel is involved in the oil sector of the russian federation’s economy, the profits derived from which are one of the most important sources of revenue for the aggressor state’s budget.
On February 12, 2026, Ukraine imposed sanctions on the tanker as part of restrictions targeting the russian shadow fleet.
