Justification
Vessel information
The vessel has been implicated in schemes involving the theft of Ukrainian grain from the temporarily occupied territory (TOT) of Crimea (Ukraine). Specifically, it conducted ship-to-ship (STS) loading operations in the Kerch Strait from the russian-flagged vessels IMO 8721272 and IMO 8959219, both of which were arrested in absentia by a Ukrainian court for participating in the transportation of Ukrainian grain stolen by russia from TOT Ukraine.
Throughout 2024, the vessel has continued to regularly engage in dark activity in the Kerch Strait transshipment area – a location that, since 2023, has been actively used by russia for STS transfers with other vessels, particularly to "egalise" stolen Ukrainian grain and re-export it to third countries under the guise of grain of russian origin.
Since December 2022, the vessel has been affiliated with the Turkish company Alemax Denizcilik ve Gemi Isletmeciligi Ticaret Limited Sirketi, established in 2022 by russian national Alexander Alekseev (Александр Алексеев).
