The tanker was involved in the export of russian crude oil/petroleum products from russian ports on the Baltic Sea to third countries, in particular from the port of Ust-Luga (russian federation) to India, during the period of the oil embargo and price cap policy.
In March 2025, the tanker transported more than 651,000 barrels of russian petroleum products (seller PJSC Oil Company Rosneft) from the port of Ust-Luga to India for the Jamnagar Refinery.
The vessel is involved in the oil sector of the russian federation's economy, the profits from which are one of the most important sources of income for the aggressor state's budget.
On December 13, 2025, Ukraine imposed sanctions on the vessel.
On February 21, 2026, Ukraine imposed sanctions on the master of the vessel.
