While serving as director general of the so-called state budgetary institution "Donetsk Republican Museum of Local History", she carries out activities aimed at legitimizing the russian occupation of Ukrainian territories, in particular through the implementation of presidential cultural and educational projects, and also disseminates russian federation propaganda narratives regarding the war against Ukraine.
On May 22, 2026, as part of the "Tavrida.ART" art cluster—a so-called youth and educational resort established in 2023 at the initiative of the President of the russian federation— Maksymchuk delivered a presentation titled "The Image of a Hero", dedicated to russian servicemen participating in the war against Ukraine. In her presentation, Maksymchuk, among other things, emphasized the need to create a new exhibition hall at the local history museum dedicated to the so-called "SVO".
On May 7, 2026, with the participation of representatives of the occupying authorities, an exhibition dedicated to the "12th anniversary of the Donetsk People’s Republic" opened at the so-called "Donetsk Republican Local History Museum".
