Publicly supports russian aggression and actively cooperates with the occupation authorities. He is involved in spreading russian propaganda, in particular, with the aim of distorting history and justifying the occupation of Ukrainian territories. In February 2024, he visited the branch of the russian Historical Society in the so-called LPR where he emphasized that the "victory over Nazism" would definitely be for russia. Also in early 2023, he participated in the opening of an exhibition at the "Luhansk Museum of Local Lore" - "Formation of the LPR Statehood".
