In particular, under his control and guidance, during the activities of the relevant archaeological expedition in 2022, a treasure was discovered and seized in favour of the russian federation - 30 gold coins, of which 26 were inscribed with the name of Alexander the Great and 4 were minted during the reign of his brother Philip ΙΙΙ Arridaeus.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol served Butyagin with a notice of suspicion in absentia of illegal search operations at the archaeological heritage site.
