ARTIZOV Andrei Nikolayevich

As the head of the Federal Archival Agency (Rosarkhiv), he takes measures aimed at legitimising russia's occupation of Ukrainian territories and subordinating Ukrainian archives from the TOT of Ukraine to the russian archival infrastructure.
In 2023, the Rosarkhiv, headed by Artizov, published a collection of documents that ‘confirm’ Putin's article ‘On the Historical Unity of russians and Ukrainians’. The collection contains propaganda materials that contribute to the falsification of history and the promotion of russian narratives.
Artizov is a member of the presidium of the russian Historical Society, which in 2022 published a statement of support for the so-called ‘SVO’.
In 2014, Artizov visited the Sevastopol city archive, where he discussed the ‘action plan for the integration of the Sevastopol archive into the archival industry of the russian federation’.
