The company provides navigational and hydrographic support for shipping in the waters of the Northern Sea Route, including the study of the underwater bottom topography to keep nautical charts and sailing aids up to date and provide the Northern Sea Route with navigation aids, as well as informing mariners about changes in the navigation situation.
FSUE Hydrographic Enterprise is the owner and operator of one of the largest dredging fleets in russia, the only organisation in russia that creates and provides navigational information for the Northern sea route, mainly for large oil and LNG tankers, on the most difficult areas and routes in terms of navigation. Hydrographic Enterprise has provided dredging services for a number of major energy projects in russia, including the Vostok oil project.
