Reasons
The French-russian joint venture PowerJet was created to design and market the SaM-146 integrated engine designed for russian regional and long-haul Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft.
After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the French company withdrew from the project and stopped servicing the aircraft. In response, a russian court transferred the property of foreign partners to UEC-Saturn: fuel pipelines, fuel semi-collectors, segment fairings, roller bearings, bushings, pads, locking pins, boroscope plugs, and other parts.
As a subsidiary of UEC-Saturn, the company is a part of the United Engine Corporation holding of the russian state corporation Rostec.
