The centre develops electronic warfare equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles and other airspace control equipment. The centre has been accredited by the russian ministry of industry and trade to receive a subsidy for the purchase of equipment and is engaged in the production of drones. It is located at the Intellectual Electronics - Valdai Research and Development Centre and has its own test site. Conducts UAV training courses for russian military personnel and civilians, including students from the Novgorod State University named after Yaroslav Mudryy.
The products manufactured by the centre are used in the war against Ukraine, including the Knyaz Vandal Novgorodsky FPV drones with fibre-optic communication and the Osoed interceptor drones, Knyaz Veschyi Oleg reconnaissance UAVs.
