The ice-class supply vessel is part of the transport and technological system of the Prirazlomnoye project, and is on emergency rescue duty near the Prirazlomnaya offshore ice-resistant stationary platform, an oil platform producing crude oil on the russian Arctic shelf and designed to develop the Prirazlomnoye field in the Pechora Sea. The platform is operated by the sanctioned company Gazprom Neft Shelf LLC (a subsidiary of the sanctioned PJSC Gazprom Neft).
