Vessel information
The vessel is designed for the carriage of general cargoes, bulk cargoes, and timber (project No. 19611) and has been involved in transporting goods from Iran for the needs of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of the russian federation.
It is owned by the designated russian maritime shipping company MG-Flot LLC (ООО "МГ-Флот", previously Transmorflot LLC (ООО "Трансморфлот")). MG-Flot LLC is linked to Astrakhan businessman Jamaldin Emirmagomedovich Pashayev, who built his business around the commercial port of Olya in the Astrakhan region. This location was proposed as a key logistics hub for the "North– South" International Transport Corridor, the creation and construction of which was overseen and controlled by former russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov. The primary purpose of this transport corridor was to facilitate trade with designated Iran, enabling it to import and export goods via the "North– South" route.
During the vessel’s maritime operations, the russian company Navigator LLC (ООО "Навигатор", TIN 3021000208), founded by Jamaldin Emirmagomedovich Pashayev, acted as the ship’s agent. Through this role, Pashayev continues to oversee the organisation of maritime transport of military cargo in the interests of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of the russian federation, as well as Iran.
In May 2022, the United States imposed sanctions on Transmorflot LLC and its vessels engaged in transporting weapons for the russian federation.
In June 2025, Canada designated the vessel.
