The vessel is owned by the company Ibex Shipping Inc. registered in the Marshall Islands.
The vessel is operated by the sanctioned russian company Shipping Company Asia LLC (ООО "Судоходная компания Азия"), which acts as a cargo carrier for the russian Ministry of Defence.
In December 2023, the USA imposed sanctions on the vessel and affiliated shipping companies involved in the transfer of ammunition between the DPRK and russia.
