Vessel information
From October 2022 to April 2025, the owner and commercial manager of the bulk carrier was the Turkish company Artvin Denizcilik Ve Ticaret, which was founded in June 2022 and is subject to sanctions.
In April 2023, the US imposed sanctions on Artvin Denizcilik Ve Ticaret and its fleet of vessels (including the bulk carrier IMO 9741724) due to its ties to the russian sanctioned shipping company Pola Rise LLC, which specializes in export import transportation of bulk, general, and project cargo in the Mediterranean, Black, Azov, Caspian, Baltic, White, and North Seas, including voyages around Europe, as well as on russia's inland waterways.
The US imposed sanctions on Pola Rise LLC and 22 affiliated vessels for activities in the maritime sector of the russian economy, participation in increasing trade between russia and Turkey, and facilitating the supply of materials to construction sites in the Arctic.
In June 2025, Canada imposed sanctions on the vessel.
Since October 24, 2025, the EU has imposed sanctions on the vessel.
Since December 13, 2025, Switzerland has imposed sanctions on the vessel.
On February 20, 2026, New Zealand imposed sanctions on the vessel.
