Potanin is the owner of sanctioned russian company LLC Holding Company Interros, whose assets include PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel - the world's largest producer of nickel and palladium, also a producer of platinum, copper, silver, gold, cobalt and other non-ferrous metals, the sanctioned PJSC Rosbank, and others.
The 88.5-metre-long yacht is valued at $120m.
In December 2022, USA applied sanctions to the yacht as Potanin's property.
