The vessel is probably affiliated with russian president putin. The 82-metre-long yacht, estimated to cost around $100 million, is equipped with a saltwater and freshwater pool, helipad, gym, government communications, expensive furniture, marble and gilding. putin has made numerous trips on the yacht, including in 2021 in the Black Sea with Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko, who supported and facilitated russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. A few weeks before russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the yacht was moved from the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg, where it was being modernised, to Kaliningrad.
In June 2022, USA imposed sanctions on the Graceful.
The name of the yacht was probably changed to Kosatka after the sanctions were imposed.
