The tanker IMO 9333591 has been sailing under the russian flag since May 2026.
The vessel is involved in transporting russian LNG from the floating storage IMO 9915090, which, as of June 1, 2026, is subject to sanctions by the U.S., the EU, Switzerland, and Canada. The floating storage IMO 9915090 stores LNG produced by the sanctioned "Arctic LNG-2" project (the project is inaccessible to conventional tankers for much of the year due to difficult ice conditions in the Ob Bay), and transships LNG as part of the "Yamal LNG" project.
On August 6, 2026, the United Kingdom imposed sanctions on the tanker.
