Vessel information
The tanker, during the period of the G7+ oil embargo and the price cap policy on russian crude oil and petroleum products, is involved in the export of russian Urals crude oil, as well as russian petroleum products, from the ports of Primorsk and Ust-Luga on the Baltic Sea, Tuapse on the Black Sea to third countries (India, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia), specifically on behalf of one of russia’s largest oil companies — PJSC Oil Company "Rosneft".
The tanker is part of the fleet of Marine Trust Ltd, a Greek shipping company founded in 1992 that specializes in the technical management of large-tonnage oil tankers.
The vessel is involved in the oil sector of the russian federation’s economy, the profits derived from which are one of the most important sources of revenue for the aggressor state’s budget.
On February 12, 2026, Ukraine imposed sanctions on the tanker as part of restrictions targeting the russian shadow fleet.
