The latest Arc7-class icebreaking LNG tanker is the last in a series of 15 tankers built specifically for russia's Yamal LNG project.
The vessel exports russian liquefied natural gas from the russian arctic Yamal LNG project via the northern sea route.
The tanker is involved in the energy sector of the russian federation's economy, the profits from which are one of the most important sources of income for the aggressor state's budget.
On December 13, 2025, Ukraine imposed sanctions on the tanker.
