Justification
Vessel information
During the period of the G7 and EU oil embargo and the price cap policy on russian crude oil and petroleum products, the tanker has been used since June 2024 to export russian petroleum products from russian ports on the Baltic and Black Seas, and the Pacific region to third countries (Singapore, Turkey, Morocco, etc.).
From May 2024 to May 2026, the tanker was operated by Sea Trade Marine SA (IMO 6217279, Malta).
In September 2025, the vessel exported 47.5 thousand tons of russian oil from the Sheskharis terminal in the port of Novorossiysk to India. The Sheskharis terminal is a transshipment complex, the endpoint of the main pipelines of JSC Chernomortransneft (TIN 2315072242, under US sanctions) — a subsidiary of the sanctioned russian Transneft PJSC (TIN 7706061801).
In February 2026, the vessel exported nearly 30,000 metric tons of russian petroleum products from the port of Novorossiysk to Morocco.
In May 2026, the tanker exported nearly 30,000 metric tons of russian petroleum products from the port of Novorossiysk to Turkey.
Since May 2026, the tanker has been operated by Swiss Carriers SA, a company incorporated in Panama with an office in Greece.
The vessel is involved in the oil sector of the russian federation’s economy, the profits from which are one of the most important sources of revenue for the aggressor state’s budget.
