During the period when the G7 and EU oil embargo and the price cap policy on russian crude oil and petroleum products were in effect, the tanker has been involved in the export of russian crude oil and petroleum products to third countries.
The vessel calls at ports in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories (Sevastopol, Feodosia, Kerch) and supplies russian petroleum products to these territories.
In June 2026, the tanker delivered over 4,000 metric tons of petroleum products from the port of Azov to the port of Kerch.
Specifically, in September 2025, the vessel transported nearly 5,000 metric tons of petroleum products from the Sheshkharis terminal to the port of Kerch (in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine).
The tanker is affiliated with the russian company LLC "Volgotrans" (TIN 6317079434), which is subject to Ukrainian sanctions.
According to available information, the tanker is owned by the russian company LLC "MTF-SERVICE" (TIN 2319064186).
The founders of LLC "MTF-SERVICE" are Purim Lyutsia (TIN 910216296496, 30% stake in the company), Beym Eduard (TIN 910211222003, 35% stake in the company), Sergey Beym (TIN 910216023650, 35% stake in the company).
Lyutsia Purim is the mother of the chairman of the board and a beneficiary of the russian company JSC "Sovfracht" (TIN 7702059030, subject to sanctions by the U.S., Canada, the U.K., the EU, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, and Ukraine) Dmitry Purim (subject to Ukrainian sanctions), who is referred to as a "scheme-generating contractor" for generals in the Ministry of Defense and other agencies of the russian federation and who was awarded the "For the Return of Crimea" medal. Sovfracht JSC is part of the sanctioned "Sovfracht-Sovmortrans" group of companies, known for its role in facilitating the temporary occupation and consolidation of russia’s presence in Crimea. Sovfracht’s ferries transported russian military personnel, equipment, and fuel to Crimea, and its pontoon barges, in violation of sanctions, delivered Siemens turbines to Sevastopol and Feodosia. Sovfracht JSC is a russian transport and logistics company that provides logistical support to the russian Ministry of Defense, including serving as a key hub in the military transport networks of russian cargo ships delivering North Korean weapons (ammunition) from the DPRK to military facilities in the russian port of Dunay for use in the war against Ukraine. The company has extensive experience in organizing logistics along the Northern Sea Route, participates in major infrastructure projects, and ensures transportation accessibility to russian regions despite sanctions. Since March 2020, it has been included in the List of Systemically Important Organizations of the russian federation.
