Vessel information
During the G7 and EU oil embargo and price cap policy on russian crude oil/petroleum products, the tanker has been involved since 2025 in the export of russian ESPO crude oil from russian ports in the Pacific region to the PRC.
Specifically, from January until June 2026, the tanker exported nearly 6 million barrels of russian ESPO crude oil to China and the Philippines; the sellers of nearly 3 million barrels of russian crude oil were PJSC Oil Company "Rosneft," PJSC "Surgutneftegaz", as well as Redwood Global Supply FZ-LLC (UAE), which was sanctioned by the UK on December 18, 2025, for activities in the russian energy sector. Redwood Global Supply FZ-LLC is part of a network of companies linked to the "2Rivers Group," which is considered one of the largest operators of the shadow fleet in the world and the largest trader of russian crude oil.
On April 29, 2026, Ukraine imposed sanctions on the vessel.
