Reasons
The subsidiary of the sanctioned Alfa-bank JSC, the largest private financial institution in russia, involved in cooperation with the defence industry enterprises through the provision of loans (opening of credit lines).
Alfa-Bank issued loans to the Chelyabinsk radio plant Polet, which produces aviation equipment, including for the benefit of the Ministry of Defence; and Oboronstroy, which is engaged in the construction of the Ministry of Defence facilities; NPO Iskra, which develops and produces solid fuel engines for missile systems; NPO Pribor, which produces ammunition; Proton-PM, which produces engines for combat aircraft and tanks; and Uraltransmash, which modernises self-propelled howitzers. The bank provided a loan to the Ural Optical-Mechanical Plant, which produces optical-location systems for Su-27, Su-35, MiG-29 aircraft and their modifications and a surveillance and search system for installation on Mi-17 (Mi-8) and Mi-24 helicopters. Alfa-Bank finances suppliers of raw materials for the russian military-industrial complex. In particular, after the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the bank provided a loan to the Orenburg distillery, which supplies ethyl alcohol to the nuclear weapons manufacturer Mayak, cruise missile manufacturer Strela, anti-personnel mines, smoke grenades and checkers manufacturer Chapaev, and combat aircraft and helicopter engines manufacturer Chernyshev MMP.
Alfa-Leasing is affiliated with the sanctioned fleet, whose vessels are involved in the theft of Ukrainian grain and supplying products to the TOT of Ukraine.
