During the period of the G7+ oil embargo and the price cap policy on russian oil and petroleum products, the tanker has been involved in the export of russian oil from russian ports on the Baltic and Black Seas on behalf of the largest russian oil companies.
Specifically, in January 2024, the vessel exported over 1 million barrels of Varandey crude oil from the floating storage facility IMO 9217979 to India on behalf of PJSC Lukoil.
In July 2023, the tanker exported nearly 700,000 barrels of Urals crude oil from the port of Ust-Luga to India; the seller of the wet cargo was PJSC "Surgutneftegaz."
In June 2023, the tanker exported over 1 million barrels of Urals crude oil from the "Sheshkharis" terminal at the port of Novorossiysk to China; the seller of the wet cargo was PJSC "Rosneft."
In May 2023, the vessel exported over 776,000 barrels of Urals crude oil from the port of Ust-Luga to Turkey; the seller of the cargo was PJSC "Rosneft Oil Company."
The vessel is also involved in the transportation of Iranian oil.
On April 24, 2026, the United States imposed sanctions on the tanker for transporting Iranian oil to China.
On April 29, 2026, Ukraine imposed sanctions on the vessel as part of restrictions targeting the russian shadow fleet.
