The tanker, during the period of the oil embargo and the price cap policy on russian crude oil / petroleum products, is involved in the export of russian petroleum products from russian ports in the Pacific region (specifically the port of Nakhodka) to the PRC in the interests of PJSC Oil Company "Rosneft".
The tanker is also involved in the transport of Iranian crude oil / petroleum products. From August 2023 to October 2024, the tanker was affiliated with Barco Ship Management Inc. (Marshall Islands). On July 18, 2024, the United States imposed sanctions on Barco Ship Management Inc. as part of the Sa’id al-Jamal network involved in supplying Iranian goods, including oil, to the Houthis.
On July 18, 2024, the United States imposed sanctions on the vessel as property in which Barco Ship Management Inc. has an interest.
On December 13, 2025, Ukraine imposed sanctions on the tanker as part of restrictions targeting the russian shadow fleet.
