The tanker, during the period of the G7+ oil embargo and the price cap policy on russian crude oil and petroleum products, is involved in the export of russian petroleum products, specifically from russian Baltic, Black Seas ports to third countries.
In March 2026, the tanker exported over 925,000 barrels of petroleum products from the port of Taman to Singapore and Malaysia, where part of the cargo (over 132,000 barrels) was transferred via STS to tanker IMO 9237620 in the Pelepas area. The seller of the russian wet cargo was Redwood Global Supply FZ-LLC (UAE), which was sanctioned by the UK on December 18, 2025, for activities in the energy sector of the russian economy. Redwood Global Supply FZ-LLC is the largest exporter of russian crude oil within the shadow network of russian oil traders—the "2Rivers Group" (Coral Energy). Key roles in this network are played by several azerbaijani traders: Tahir Garayev, Etibar Eyyub, Talat Safarov, and Ahmed Kerimov.
In October 2025, a tanker shipped more than 132,000 metric tons of Urals crude oil from the port of Ust-Luga to the Indian port of Vadinar for export.
On December 13, 2025, Ukraine imposed sanctions on the tanker.
On February 21, 2026, Ukraine imposed sanctions on the master of the vessel.
