During the period of the G7 and EU oil embargo and the price cap policy on russian crude oil and petroleum products, the tanker was involved in 2025 in the export of russian crude oil from russian ports in the Pacific region to China, India, and other third countries.
Specifically, from January until June 2026, the vessel exported more than 5.18 million barrels of russian ESPO crude oil from the port of Kozmino to China, India, and the Philippines.
On February 12, 2026, Ukraine imposed sanctions on the vessel.
