Description:
A caricature of the Makhnovists. Almost in the center is a broken down wagon without harness. On it stands a man, a figure at a ¾ turn to the left, with staring eyes, falling braids of black hair, a white hat pushed over his forehead, crutches, and a pistol in his left hand (Makhno). On the seat of the cart there is a carpet, a machine gun with an empty ribbon, and a fallen accordion. Nearby on the ground is a broken bottle. In the background, a Makhnovist is running along the riverbank, another is jumping into the water, and a third is spitting and holding onto a horse's tail. The lithograph is illuminated in yellow, pink, brown, and gray-blue colors.
There are inscriptions in graphite pencil below the image. On the left: "We've made it", on the right: "Y. Severin, V. Chernukha". Lower left: 38.2 x 49.7 cm. On the back in graphite pencil on the right: "Severin and Chernukha. Dokuchilis. p. № 15876-a inv. № 7138-a DNVU". General yellowing of the sheet, traces of mounting, glue stains on the back. Light creasing of the sheet. Along the lower margin, a tear enters the image, the tear is glued to the image.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
