Description:
In the center of the composition, among the green leaves and large, full-length fruits, stands a girl holding a wicker basket with yellowish-orange fruits with both hands. She is dressed in a purple tight-fitting dress above the knees and wears a blue scarf around her neck. Her black hair is parted in a straight parting. To the left, a boy and a girl are talking. V is wearing a yellow shirt and gray pants rolled up above the knees. The figure is given in full face, with the head ¾ of a turn to the left. The girl is wearing a green loose dress. The figure is shown in right profile. Her long black hair is combed back smoothly. The bent arms of both are extended to the pomegranate fruit hanging on the right. Near the left edge is a tree with a spreading crown, a thick trunk and orange-yellow fruits. The trunk is covered with a red and white cloth. To the right of the central figure are branches with large leaves and pomegranate fruits, two wicker baskets with pomegranates lying on the ground, and round fruits on a white cloth. At the right edge, in the left profile, a girl is harvesting the crop. She is dressed in a dark orange dress, wearing a dark purple headscarf. In her left lowered hand is an empty basket. In the lower right corner is a basket with fruit. In the lower right corner: Chernukhin G.S. 75 g.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
