Description:
In the center is a full-length portrait of a sitting old man. Round face, beard, mustache. The left hand, which is held out to the side, holds a glass on the edge of a black stand with vertical stripes. In his right hand, resting on his knees, he holds a hat with a wide brim. He is dressed in a tightly buttoned jacket, tight pants, tucked into black boots. The image is set against a background of open nets. There is a monogram in the lower left corner. Under the image and to the right in graphite pencil "Karminsky". ODMZSM label with #2159. Below in graphite pencil: : "Karminsky Komsomolskaya 58/104. Old Derevorit 30x42 C.30". Yellowing of the sheet, creasing, vertical crease on the left. The edges of the sheet are torn.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
