Description:
A cityscape with a high skyline. The entire image is occupied by the colorful roofs of buildings closely packed together. In the foreground on the right is a maroon roof with two chimneys. In the middle is the upper part of an ochre house, with a narrow window and a gutter. There is an open attic window on the roof, and a green and red roof with a weather vane on the right. The sky is dark gray. At the bottom right, "Hoch 1968" in blue paint. On the back - At the top right corner of the stretcher in graphite pencil: "Stanislav Oleksiyovych Khokhlov. Born in 1936 in Kyiv. 1968 "Roofs" x. m. 39.5 x 48". At the bottom left is the passport of the State Administration of the Ukrainian SSR. There are significant paint layer deposits along the edge of the stretcher.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
