Description:
The sheet combines two compositions separated by an 8-pointed cross with a crucifix. Under the cross is the inscription: "BJ eyu ... year". The composition is on the right. A corner of a snowy winter street. In the foreground, to the right, is a horse harnessed to a small sleigh. In the sled, a pitman and a man in a top hat; in the center, three horses moving to the left, harnessed to a sleigh with a kibitz. Behind the three, to the right, is a man with a ladder. In the background, to the left, is a 1-story house with a clock on the facade and 3 windows with openwork lattices. A large 1-storey building on a high foundation adjoins the house on the left; behind the roofs of the houses on the left is a 5-domed church, on the right is a church with a spire. The composition is on the left. A corner of a snowy courtyard. In the foreground, to the left of the center, is a girl with laundry on a rocker, facing a woman and a girl, to the right is a boy and a girl on a sled. To the right behind the fence are bushes with bare branches and part of a building wall. In the background is the facade of a building divided into two parts by a drainpipe. There are two rows of windows on the right side and three on the left. There is a female figure in the door on the left. Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
