Description:
A multi-figure composition. On the right, a soldier holding three horses by the bridle is standing near a white adobe house. In the center is a rider in an officer's uniform. In front of him on the right is a soldier with a sword in his hand. To the left is a fountain and a male figure facing the fountain. In the background, on an elevated position, are mud-brick houses and a tower. In the center are 3 children's figures. In the background are mountains. In the lower part of the inscription: "Drawing from nature by K.N. Filippov. Traveling on the southern coast of Crimea, the British, after the conclusion of peace in the spring of 1856". General soiling and yellowing of the sheet, tears and stains of iron bacteria. Traces of glue, the sheet is crumpled.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
