Description:
In the center of the composition is an image of Nicholas the Wonderworker standing on a dark green field. Dressed in a dark green chiton with ochre-colored inserts; red with golden felon pattern and blue with golden omophoric crosses. To the right of the figure, behind the wintry hills, is a pink city with cathedral domes, to the left, on the blue water, is a three-masted ship. Above – half figures of the Mother of God with omophorus (right) and Christ (left). Behind the red cloud is the Old Testament Trinity. Side stamps (on the right) from above – two gray-bearded old men in gilded clothes and nimbus, in the middle – an old man in the clothes of an abbot and a saint in the clothes of a princess; in the lower part - a baptism scene with a naked youth in a font. Side stamps (left): from above - Holy Prince Fyodor Yaroslavich with Princes David and Konstantin; in the middle - an old man in red clothes and a white tablecloth, as well as a young man in a white shirt; in the lower part - the Christmas scene. Lower stamps (from left to right) of the scene: Nicholas in training, ordination to deacons, bishops, "Miracle of Saint Nicholas with Agrikov’s son Vasyl".
On the edges of the work, the loss of the paint layer: on the lower left and right corners. In the center of the figure of St. Nicholas, there is a square cutout (1x1.5), with through holes in the corners. On the nimbus of Christ and the Virgin there are traces of fortifications.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
