Description:
The composition combines several separate pictorial motifs. On the left: a banner connected by laurel branches with a helmet, shields, a sword in a sheath and a baluster. Above in the centre in an oval is a picture of a boat with a coffin covered with a mantle with a crown on the lid. There are several rowers in the boat, and a figure of a man in a military uniform at the stern. Below is the signature: "Transfer of the relics... in 1724". Pictorial motif on the lower right: part of the cathedral interior with a crayfish near the conch, with figures kneeling in front of it. Image on the left: a horse battle, in the centre - a warrior on a white horse. The inscriptions below the images: on the right - "Cancer of St Alexander... in S-PTBGE", on the left - "Victory of Alexander... 1240". The motif in the lower centre shows a crowd of people with banners in the square in front of the monastery wall to the left, and a chapel with domes. Below the image is the inscription: "Chapel and ....... Procession (30 August)".
Condition: General yellowing, staining, stains on the edges of the sheet. Cross-shaped bend, tear (4.2 cm) along the bend on the left. Vertical tear in the lower margin. Tears in the right margin: 2.4 cm, 1.6 cm.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
