Description:
In the foreground is a winding lake shore. To the right and left of the lake are green trees on its ledges overgrown with grass. The blue-violet surface of the lake reflects the trees. On the low opposite shore is a green massif of trees. The sky is grey-blue with white clouds.
In the lower left corner is a brown paint signature: Const. Cows 1918. At the bottom left is a crumbling paint layer. At the right centre and top centre - small craquelure. Above the centre is a crumbling paint layer - 0.4 x 0.1 cm. Significant scuffing of the canvas. 28.05.2011 Damage was found: at a distance of 8 cm from the left edge, 18 cm from the lower edge - a deep dent, a through vertical tear of linear shape - 6.5 cm, a 2 cm horizontal tear to the left (forming an angle) with stretched edges, damage to the paint layer and soil.

Description of the incident location
It was opened on May 27, 1978, in the former City Hall building, an architectural monument of the early 20th century. As of 2022 (before the robbery), the museum's collection included more than 13 thousand works of art and was one of the most interesting museum collections in Ukraine. It includes works of Ukrainian and foreign painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the Kherson Art Museum was looted by the russian occupiers, and more than 10,000 of its most valuable exhibits were stolen. The cargo was sent to Crimea, and the works (all or part of them) ended up in the Simferopol Central Museum of Tavrida. It is unknown whether everything is still there.
