In the foreground is a seaside boulevard in grey and purple with dark grey shadows. In the centre is a red phaeton with two horses in right profile. To the right is a male figure from the back in blue clothes. To the left is a pillar cut off by the upper edge of the canvas. In the background to the left, diagonally from the lower left corner, is the side facade of a grey stone building with a green lawn and several trees in front of it. On the high bank in the centre is a small white stone building. To the right is a white arch with a colonnade. The sky is blue and purple. Lower left - brown paint: Exh. Cows...1916.
