PEGOV Anatoly Sergeyevich

A russian sports and government official who is part of the russian federation’s state apparatus and exerts direct influence on internal and external processes in Russian sports; in particular, he represents the russian federation at congresses of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation.
As president of the russian Bobsleigh Federation—the official governing body that fully supports, selects the roster for, and finances the russian national bobsleigh team - Pegov lobbies for the interests of russian athletes on the international sports stage and seeks to secure their return to competition.
In addition, the russian Bobsleigh Federation oversees the organization of training camps for the national team, including in the temporarily occupied Crimea at the "Crimean" Sports Training Center for russian national teams, a federal state budgetary institution.
In May 2026, Pegov took part in the opening ceremony of a propaganda-driven all-russian freestyle wrestling tournament honoring the late russian occupiers Viktor and Alexander Yakovlev, which also involved athletes from the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region.
