He is directly involved in the development and optimization of thermal barrier coatings for turbine blades of advanced gas turbine engines (GTEs), particularly methods for improving their resistance to high-temperature hot corrosion caused by salts. Publications authored by him in 2022 and 2024 document his research on protective coatings and robotic machining of complex-profile surfaces. Thermal barrier coatings for turbine blades are a critical dual-use technology that determines the service life and operating temperature limits of engines manufactured by PJSC UEC-Saturn, including those used in military aviation and cruise missiles.
