A. Aleksandrov, while serving as Chief Designer of JSC "Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol", directly oversees the development of technical solutions for organizing the serial production of Geran-2 loitering munitions. These loitering munitions are widely used by russia in its aggressive war against Ukraine, including for strikes against cities, energy facilities, and civilian infrastructure.
These actions have resulted in the mass killing of civilians and large-scale destruction.
In particular, on January 27, 2026, Geran-2 loitering munitions attacked the passenger train operating on the Chop–Kharkiv–Barvinkove route, resulting in the deaths of six people.
