Supports and justifies russia's military aggression against Ukraine, spreading kremlin propaganda narratives, regularly participates in propaganda rallies and concerts, and also declares his desire to personally fight against Ukraine. He is a member of the putin Team movement, which supports putin in the presidential elections. In 2014, he supported the annexation of Crimea and repeatedly participated in rally-concerts in honor of the so-called "annexation of Crimea". Since 2015, he has been the permanent TV presenter of the series of programs "Legends of the Army with Alexander Marshal" on the russian federal socio-patriotic TV channel "Zvezda", owned by the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation. In addition, Marshal is a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation, is a member of the Public Council under the Investigative Committee of the russian federation. Supports the russian military, provides them with humanitarian aid and transport, systematically holds concerts in their honor, including at russian military-industrial complex plants, as well as in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In the fall of 2022, together with pro-government "stars" of the russian pop music scene who support russian aggression against Ukraine, he took part in recording the song and propaganda clip "We Will Rise". In 2023, he supported the joint initiative of the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation and JSC "russian Media Group" to establish a monetary reward for each russian military in the amount of 700 thousand/1 million rubles for the destruction of Leopard 1/Leopard2 battle tanks, which were transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by Western partners.
Also in 2023, he joined the "Agitbrigades of russian Radio" project, within the framework of which he participates in concerts for russian military personnel in hospitals, military units, mobilization points and in front-line territories, including in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, and also supplies the russian Armed Forces with humanitarian aid, special equipment and machinery. As part of his activities, he receives state funding. Thus, for the implementation of state-ordered contracts, Marshal provided services worth 12.1 million rubles. He systematically visits the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in order to carry out commercial concert activities and support the russian military. Marshal's daughter lives in the USA.
