In March 2022, he was arrested in Riga for supporting russia’s aggression against Ukraine and was charged with inciting ethnic hatred and justifying war crimes. After three months in custody, he was released on bail of €55,000 raised by his followers.
In 2023 he moved to russia, where he continued his media activity and publicly supports the so-called "special military operation".
Through his Telegram channel "Kirill Fyodorov / War History Weapons", he regularly raises funds for the needs of the russian armed forces, including drones, radios, communication devices, and other military equipment sent to the front.
He is also known for admitting involvement in the unlawful detention of a woman from Berdyansk solely because she addressed him in Ukrainian—an incident that sparked wide public outrage in Ukraine.
