Involved in the adoption of Ukrainian orphans into russian families from the Astrakhan region. In March 2023, he officially announced that, with the participation of the regional Ministry of Social Development and Labor, 11 orphans from the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of Ukraine had been placed in foster families in the Astrakhan region. In May 2022, he stated that 41 children, taken from the TOT of Ukraine to russia, were studying at the Yaksatovskaya Secondary School in the Privolzhsky District.
He supports and oversees the implementation of putin's policy in the region concerning the deportation of Ukrainian children who were relocated from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to russia, and the "integration" of children from the TOT of Ukraine into a unified cultural and educational space and the system of civil-patriotic education of the russian federation.
