A russian enterprise that specializes in the development, testing and serial production of optical and optoelectronic devices. It produces sighting systems for small arms, armored vehicles and aviation, aerospace photographic equipment, ground-based surveillance systems, and fire control systems. Also, it adapts the observation and sighting station of Mi-28 helicopters for the use of anti-tank missile systems. It also develops dosimeters for the troops of radiological, chemical and biological defence of the russian armed forces.
In 2023, the enterprise transferred part of its production capacity to the Ural Civil Aviation Plant, which specializes in UAV production.
It is part of Shvabe JSC, a holding company of the russian state corporation Rostec.
As part of the cooperation on the production of 9M723 ballistic missile, Iskander-M manufactures and supplies optical elements for 9B918 platformless inertial navigation systems.
