Reasons
One of the key ideologues of kremlin propaganda, he is a supporter of ethatism, holds radical national-imperial views, and is known for his extremist views and aggressive anti-Ukrainian rhetoric.
In 2015, he emotionally publicly called for russia's military invasion and occupation of Ukraine.
Prokhanov is a russian writer, publicist, author of military-patriotic novels, author of the idea of the "Fifth Empire" (works "The Fifth Empire", "Symphony of the Fifth Empire", "Technologies of the Fifth Empire", etc.), according to which russia as a successful and independent state can exist only as an empire. Prokhanov's project "The Fifth Empire" is combined with the ideology of the "russian world".
He is the editor-in-chief of the Zavtra newspaper, which regularly publishes materials with anti-Ukrainian narratives and justifies the crimes of the russian army. In his articles, Prokhanov actively supports the concept of the "russian world" and promotes the idea of the need for russia's "spiritual revival" through forceful intervention in the affairs of neighboring countries, including Ukraine. He promotes the thesis that russia has a "historical mission" to protect the "russian world" in the occupied territories.
He is the Deputy Chairman of the Public Council under the ministry of defense of the russian federation, which interacts between the military and civil society, and whose main task is to assist the ministry of defense in ensuring the protection and coordination of the interests of russian citizens, public associations, organizations, and government agencies.
He is the ideologist of the all-russian public movement "russian Dream", which implements projects with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives and the ministry of defense of the russian federation, including the events of the "russian Spring" in Donbass, an interactive "educational" project for children of secondary schools in russia about teachers and lecturers who voluntarily went to the so-called "special military operation".
It uses its activities to justify russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, support russia's occupation of Ukrainian territories and discredit international support for Ukraine.
He regularly appears in propaganda media and on federal TV channels of the russian federation, where he publicly endorses russia's war against Ukraine. He has justified russia's strikes on civilian infrastructure and shelling of Ukrainian cities, calling them "inevitable steps on the way to victory." Prokhanov is known for stating that "russia cannot stop until the wins on Wes" and that the occupation of Ukraine is a "sacred mission."
His rhetoric is systematically aimed at demoralizing Ukrainian society and justifying russia's armed aggression. He spreads and promotes fakes about the "Nazi regime" in Ukraine and claims that russia should end the war only by victory. Using his public speeches and publications, Prokhanov creates an image of a "collective enemy" represented by NATO and the West, justifying the escalation of hostilities and the continuation of armed aggression.
Prokhanov has repeatedly called for increased pressure on the West, threatened with nuclear weapons, and demanded that the russian leadership take radical actions against Ukraine and its international partners. His activities directly contribute to destabilizing the information space and legitimizing the crimes of the russian army in Ukraine. In general, his propaganda activities are aimed at justifying russia's armed aggression, discrediting the Ukrainian government and undermining international support for Ukraine.
Prokhanov is an active participant in the information war, which makes his activities dangerous for the national security of Ukraine.
