Reasons
He systematically supports russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, the occupation of Ukrainian territories, putin’s policies, and the kremlin regime, and actively participates in propaganda concerts during the war.
Since 2022, he has been a member of "propaganda brigades" composed of pro-government russian celebrities who tour the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to "boost the morale" of russian military personnel. These propaganda brigades were created on the orders of Sergei Kirienko, first deputy head of the russian presidential administration, and are overseen by the propaganda organization ANO "Integration," established to promote pro-government opinion leaders in the media.
He served as putin’s representative in the 2024 presidential election.
In May 2026, he spoke at the "Patriot" Park near Moscow at an event dedicated to the so-called Victory Day.
In addition, Garmash was involved in humanitarian and public events in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, which the russian side uses to legitimize the occupation administration and create the impression of "support" for the local population from the russian federation.
In June 2025, he was awarded the Alexander Tvardovsky Medal "for supporting the fighters of the special military operation."
He has repeatedly visited the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to give speeches to russian military personnel and their families.
In September 2026, he appeared in a campaign video for the "United russia" party ahead of the elections to the state duma of the russian federation.
