BARANCHIK Yuriy Vladimirovich

A former state official of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs who uses his public and professional status to spread anti-Ukrainian and war-propaganda narratives.
He has resided in Moscow since 2013.
From 2014 to 2022, he served as editor-in-chief of the russian news agency REGNUM; from 2020 to 2022, he served as deputy director of the Institute for International Political and Economic Strategies "RUSSTRAT".
As a senior researcher in the Belarus Department of the russian analytical center "Institute of CIS Countries", he publishes academic articles in which he analyzes the activities of the Belarusian opposition, characterizing its ideology as "pro-Western" and "russophobic".
He actively uses his Telegram channel "Yuri Baranchik" to openly support russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine. He systematically publishes analytical materials in which he justifies the "demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine" as strategic objectives of russia’s armed aggression.
As an expert for the propaganda platforms "Ukraine.ru" and "Crimea News Feed", he disseminates narratives aligned with the russian federation’s official position.
In addition to his informational activities, he is directly involved in the logistical support of the aggression, sharing posts on his social media accounts calling for fundraising to support units of the russian armed forces.
