Reasons
A russian writer, propagandist, and public supporter of the russian federation’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
Since 2013, he has been a member of the All-russian public creative organization "Union of Writers of russia," which openly supports the kremlin’s policies, particularly the aggression against Ukraine. He is also a co-founder of the "Union of February 24," an association of pro-government cultural figures who publicly support the war.
He actively uses his Telegram channel, "German Sadulaev," to systematically support and justify the russian invasion and deny Ukraine’s sovereignty. In particular, in his public statements, he calls Ukraine’s independence a "mistake" and calls for the elimination of Ukrainian statehood. He promotes narratives about the need for the "denazification" and "demilitarization" of Ukraine, spreads claims about "neo-Ukrainian Nazism," and calls for the complete occupation of its territory.
In his public speeches and posts, he dehumanizes the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian state. In particular, in a video address on the russian online video hosting platform ruTube, he called Ukraine a "terrorist state," and in an interview with the russian publication "Argumenty i Fakty" in December 2022, he characterized "modern Bandera-style Ukrainianism" as a "totalitarian sect, an anti-system chimera" that "wants a new birth in Satan."
In 2024, Sadulaev published the novel "No One Will Take This Life" ("Никто не выVOZит эту жизнь" ) in the series "Cultural Space of Donbas" under the patronage of Zakhar Prilepin. The work has been recommended by the "Defenders of the fatherland" Foundation for distribution in russian schools and libraries.
He is also personally involved in providing logistical support for russia’s aggression and heads the volunteer mission "Brothers and Sisters," through which he actively shares posts on his social media accounts about fundraising efforts to support units of the russian armed forces.
He has received a number of awards and commendations related to his volunteer activities in support of russian military units. In particular, he has been awarded the civic honors "For Service and Valor," "Volunteer of russia," and "For Assistance to the Front." In addition, he has received numerous letters of appreciation from the command of russian military units and armed formations, including from the "Pyatnashka" international brigade.
He has visited the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine on multiple occasions, including participating in a "volunteer rotation" at Zakhar Prilepin’s headquarters in the Zaporizhzhia region.
