He plays an active role in supporting russian aggression and information warfare against Ukraine, using his media platform to glorify the russian armed forces and spread disinformation, systematically justifying the russian armed invasion and discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Its activities are also aimed at legitimizing the russian occupation of Ukrainian territories.
In his materials and public speeches, he accuses Ukraine of committing "genocide of its own people" and using civilians as human shields.
According to his own words, Kukushkin voluntarily went to the front after the start of the full-scale invasion. He explains his motivation by his belief in the need to "liberate and protect the russian-speaking population of Ukraine".
In an interview with Smolenskaya Gazeta, he stated his desire to expand the geography of the occupation, using the same classic pro-kremlin rhetoric about the so-called "liberation of the russian-speaking population".
Kukushkin is a prominent figure in russian state propaganda projects. He became one of the main characters in the documentary "War Сorrespondents", produced by RT in 2022, which romanticizes the activities of russian war correspondents in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
He is also a frequent guest on federal television channels, including participating in the "Time Will Tell" program on Channel One, where he promoted the kremlin's narratives about the war. His media activity spans numerous platforms, including Telegram, VK, Instagram, Rutube, and Dzen, which he uses to distribute content justifying russia's aggressive policies.
